Collection: James Binnion
Washington-based metalsmith and educator James Binnion discovered the Japanese craft of mokume gane — an ancient method of forging and manipulating precious metals to resemble wood grain — in the early 1980s. An engineer by education and an artist in spirit, James uses these traditional techniques with a modern twist. He has emphasized the importance of utilizing recycled metals and ethically sourced materials since the beginning of his career.
