about the artist
Cheyanne Symone
Brittany C. Turner launched Cheyanne Symone in 2018. As an Indigenous woman (Haliwa-Saponi) and Environmental Scientist, she would constantly find herself searching for beaded earrings that were sustainable, elegant, and minimalist, and designed with the professional woman in mind. She couldn’t find what she wanted, so she decided to — literally! — take matters into her own hands, dedicating herself to handcrafting wearable art, Indigenous slow fashion designed to last a lifetime.
