These carefully crafted early 20th century sterling silver floral clip-on earrings were designed by Arlo Malinowski for Georg Jensen. Fully hallmarked and stamped with Denmark 102 and in excellent condition. Originally trained as a sculptor and medalist, Arno Malinowski worked for Georg Jensens renowned silversmithy from 1936-1944, and again from 1949-1965. His work was known for naturalistic motifs such as flowers and animals imbued with a geometric edge. Malinowski is most well-known for designing Copenhagen's famous Kingmark, an emblem worn by Danes during WWII to show their loyalty to Denmark and their resistance to the German Occupation.
This is a one-of-a-kind estate item, fully restored to a showroom finish.
