Beautifully crafted early 20th century sterling silver floral clip on earrings designed by Arlo Malinowski for Georg Jensen. Fully hallmarked & stamped with Denmark 102, these earrings are in excellent condition.
Originally trained as a sculptor and medalist, Arno Malinowski worked for Georg Jensen’s renowned Silversmithy from 1936 – 1944, and again from 1949 – 1965. His work was known for its naturalistic motifs such as flowers and animals, imbued with a geometric edge. Malinowski is most well-known for designing Copenhagen’s famous “Kingmark”, an emblem worn by Danes during WWII to show their loyalty to Denmark and their resistance to the German Occupation.
